A long time ago, he area that is now Shikuoza Prefecture used to be a volcanic zone with intense magmatic activity

Green Sizuoka quartz can be mined but it’s so much rare,

Since they looked like ice crystals, people of the past had thought that the quartz crystals were ice fossils or crystallized and hardened water.

In the old days in Japan, crystal used to be called “the spirit of water". According to the legend Crystal had been worshiped as a spiritual stone since ancient times and it had been used in various rituals. Crystal has been loved by people around the world as a stone that brings good luck and a protective stone that take away bad luck and evil spirit.
