The Dango Bridge monument and the Kintsugyo Bridge were made of this Yoshino stone. The Dango Bridge, built in the Warring States Perios is now gone, and only the monument stands. A long time　ago, there lived in Nakahara, Yoshino Village, a samurai named Hara Osumi who boasted of his strength in the service of Otomo Sorin. Legen has it that Hara Osumi built the bridge by caring a large stone weighing 375 kg under his arm from the hill behind his house to replace a bridge that had been washed away by heavy rain. The Yoshino stone is the same as this stone
