Origin: Japan (Nara Prefecture)

The city tree in Ikoma City is an oak tree, which was registered in 1973 at the request of the citizens. Since ancient times, Mt. Ikoma has been the object of worship, and it is said that there is no unfulfilled wish. Around this area, there are still temples such as Enpuku Temple and Ojoin Temple, which were built by Gyoki, a monk from the Nara period. Among them, Chikurinji Temple is known as a place of origin because I of the graveyard. In addition, the tomb is considered to be the incarnation of Manjushri Bodhisattva of wisdom, and has contributed to the relief of many people...

It may be an opportunity to connect with the Manjushri Gyoki of Ikoma City. Oak is a general term for the evergreen trees of the Fagaceae family, and grows in the south of  Kanto region in Japan. It is characterized by the yellow color that appears on the annual rings and by the sweet, fermented aroma.
