This stone is lava created by the eruption of Mt. Fuji in the fourth year of Houel (1707 AD). Those with irregularities on the surface are called "Mt. Fuji Lava" and those with a smooth surface are called "OsawaStone". This eruption opens a big hole in the middle of Mt. Fuji, which can be observed even now. We can tell from the size of the crater that the eruption was so big that it changed the shape of the mountain.
Mt. Fuji is the Japan's highest volcano with an altitude of 3776.24 m Although it is a dormant volcano, the activity of magma is still active today. It was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 2013 and is still the subject of faith in Japan.
